This illustration was made for a birthday present and is a mock cover of a doujinshi based on a fanfiction my friend was writing at the time (which can now be read on AO3) in which Durarara!! character, Izaya Orihara is transformed into a cat-boy who is completely unable to do speak, read, or write, and the only one who can help him is his enemy Shizuo Heiwajima.  Needless to say, it was a BL fanfiction, but at the time it consumed my world. 

The original image featured this garish orange background that completely clashed with the rest of the image.   I later changed the background and color scheme of the text to fit the rest of the image in 2014.
